Associated with the Réseau Varèse from 1999 to 2011

Created on the January 1st 1996, the Budapest Festival Centre is in charge of organising the various cultural programmes in the city, including the Budapest Autumn Festival, the main event dedicated to contemporary and alternative practices, including the plastic arts, theatre, dance and, of course, music. The festival is held each year for ten days in October. Thanks to the activities of this office, based on the concept of “Budapest – City of Festivals”, the Hungarian capital is well on the way to becoming a European cultural capital.

Zsofia Zimanyi

Zsófia Zimányi began her career as producer of Interconcert Budapest, the first agency specialised in exporting Hungarian cultural productions abroad. In 1989, she founded her own agency, Pentaton Concert and Artist Management. In 1996, she became the director of the Budapest Festival Center.

Zsófia Zimányi is a founding member of the Réseau Varèse.
