Holland Festival
Associated with the Réseau Varèse since 2008
Created in 1947 to reinvigorate cultural life after the war, the Holland Festival is the largest and oldest live performance festival in the Netherlands (music, theatre, dance, opera, and plastic arts). Every year, for three weeks in June, the festival offers a programme of a hundred international works interpreted by well-known or upcoming artists, with a preference for contemporary works. The festival gives considerable weight to commissioned works.
